Cupertino’s past as a dusty crossroads is lovingly depicted at this small but interesting museum, located in the Quinlan Community Center.

Learn about the original Ohlone inhabitants of the area and Juan Bautista de Anza’s expedition, which passed through what is now Cupertino in 1776.

Meet the eccentric pioneer Elisha Stephens, namesake of the incorrectly spelled Stevens Creek, Stevens Creek Boulevard and Stevens Creek Dam. View rotating exhibits about the old town’s fruit orchards, general stores and many one-room schoolhouses.

Hundreds of artifacts are on display, including clothing, tools, books and assorted ephemera. Coupled with photographs and biographical details of past residents, they paint a vivid picture of what life was like here before the advent of Silicon Valley.
