Cupertino Courier
The Cupertino Courier is published each Wednesday and distributed directly to homes in Cupertino. The Courier began publishing in 1947 and, since that time, has been Cupertino residents' primary source of local news. Under its ownership by Cupertino resident Mort Levine, it was the flagship of the Sun newspaper group in the 1970s. The Courier changed hands seven times before Metro Newspapers purchased it in 1995, and merged it with the Neighbor, a paper begun by Metro two years earlier. In late 2001, the Courier and five other community newspapers were spun off from Metro, and it is now operated by Silicon Valley Community Newspapers. |
